i am hosting 8 on thursday for thanksgiving. i love throwing a dinner party, but i am a little out of my element without my wedding china (i was a southern bride after all), my food processor, my cookbooks and an american-standard oven. first of all, a 9×12 pyrex isn’t sold here, and it wouldn’t fit into my oven even if i had one! it’s like a large microwave…
my kitchen is a tiny galley, so i knew i had to be creative with the menu. i wanted everything to be make-ahead. allison (bff) is coming with her charming fiancé, so i didn’t want to be tied up in the kitchen when all i wanted to do was drink whiskey with her and gossip. as i was wrapping up the final dishes today, i realized that 98% of my dishes came from a blog. i love the internet. i thought i’d share my menu in case any of you are scrambling for a last-minute dish.
A BLOG THANKSGIVING
all of these recipes are from a blog – because what else was i supposed to do?!
disclaimer: this menu does not promote any sort of farm-to-table lifestyle - we will be eating this meal crammed in my mini-living room on very classy paper plates.
