JOSEPH LeMAY is an Americana singer-songwriter based in Nashville. His debut album Seventeen Acres was a stand-out for me last year – an impressive, well-crafted debut. Two years ago, Joseph and his new wife left Nashville for a tiny town in northwest Tennessee to live rent-free in an abandoned trailer on his family’s farm. KELSEY KOPECKY is the eponymous member of KOPECKY FAMILY BAND, the New York Times featured band based in Nashville. KFB combines a slew of instruments and harmonies to create their own blend of dreamy, fun folk-rock. In addition to writing with her musical partner Gabe Simon, Kelsey also writes for other artists and for songs specifically destined for film & TV. Sarah Howells is one half of the Welsh folk-pop duo PAPER AEROPLANES who played to a sold out crowd at the iconic Union Chapel on Thursday night. With her musical partner Rich, they write perfect pop melodies that pack an emotional punch, and she delivers them with delicacy and power. I think her voice should be studied – it is truly stunning. Their new single, “Guessing Game” is out today, and the dreamy folk pop tune really delivers: sparkling arrangement with a great beat and an unforgettable melody.
